The Good, Crazy, & Adorable Life of One Havachon Puppy

Daisy the Nursemaid

on April 23, 2015

One of the many comforting things about having a pet is how empathetic they can be when we’re feeling sick or low.

Daisy’s quite the little nursemaid. Recently when DD was sick, she decided to lie on the sleeping bag on the floor – Daisy immediately snuggled up behind her and didn’t move until DD did. Part of her always has to be touching the person she’s with.

I won't leave DD until she feels all better!

I won’t leave DD until she feels all better!

If DD moved, Daisy checked on her and moved right along with her.

Daisy’s sympathetic expression coupled with the way she curls up with us and won’t leave our side always helps us smile, even during the most miserable times.

We’re part of the Thursday Barks and Bytes blog hop!

Awww, she’s perfect at taking care of people. These two are the same, they totally know when someone isn’t quite right.

Sweet adorable Daisy that is what my little Chancy does too. What a blessing it is to have such adorable, loving and caring little ones in our lives. You are the perfect little nurse maid and we bet DD felt better a whole lot sooner than she would have had you not been there to care for and love her. Who would not love an adorable little doggie like you beside them and touching them…that would make anyone feel loved and cared for. Hugs and nose kisses

  4. Daisy you are the bestest nurse ever… and to hold you in the arms helps more than any pill :o)

That is such a sweet photo of Daisy looking after DD.
Dogs are so sensitive to our feelings and always know how to comfort us. When my hubby had pneumonia, both Poppy and Penny never left his side, they slept with him during the day and all night. As a result of that awful time, they formed a very strong bond with him.
Dogs are amazing, that’s why we love them so much.

That’s so true, Barb. How loving of Poppy and Penny to comfort your husband during his illness. Those times do form strong bonds – friends have told me that they noticed a much stronger attachment between Daisy and me after I nursed her through her surgery; it’s like she realizes what I did for her for so long during her recovery and never forgot. And she returns the love every single day. πŸ™‚

Oh, what a sweetie! Mine aren’t quite so empathetic. If I stay home from work sick they think I’m home just to wait on them as usual. πŸ™‚

  9. Awe that Daisy is sure a sweetie! Thanks so much for sharing on the hop.
