One of the many comforting things about having a pet is how empathetic they can be when we’re feeling sick or low.
Daisy’s quite the little nursemaid. Recently when DD was sick, she decided to lie on the sleeping bag on the floor – Daisy immediately snuggled up behind her and didn’t move until DD did. Part of her always has to be touching the person she’s with.
If DD moved, Daisy checked on her and moved right along with her.
Daisy’s sympathetic expression coupled with the way she curls up with us and won’t leave our side always helps us smile, even during the most miserable times.
We’re part of the Thursday Barks and Bytes blog hop!
What a sweetie..my boys seem to be more caring when i am upset..if i am sick they just think i should still be up and at em π maybe they figure i am a big girl now π hugs Fozziemum
Haha yes they do need care even when we’re sick! π
In deed and i think that is all my boys think of hahaha π
Awww, she’s perfect at taking care of people. These two are the same, they totally know when someone isn’t quite right.
Dogs’ instincts are amazing. And they always know just the right thing to do to help. π
Sweet adorable Daisy that is what my little Chancy does too. What a blessing it is to have such adorable, loving and caring little ones in our lives. You are the perfect little nurse maid and we bet DD felt better a whole lot sooner than she would have had you not been there to care for and love her. Who would not love an adorable little doggie like you beside them and touching them…that would make anyone feel loved and cared for. Hugs and nose kisses
Yes they sure are blessings in our lives, and they can make us laugh and smile even when we’re feeling at our worst. It’s an incredible connection. π
For sure.
Daisy you are the bestest nurse ever… and to hold you in the arms helps more than any pill :o)
Definitely better than any pill! But Daisy is habit-forming… π
Hi there!
That is so sweet.
We’d love it if you could check us out sometime!

Thanks for visiting, Earl! I just left a comment on your blog. π
So, you’ve discovered Daisy’s superpower–she’s a healer in a fur coat!
Haha that she is! Somehow a dog’s selfless cuddles when you’re feeling low or sick really does seem to help. π
That is such a sweet photo of Daisy looking after DD.
Dogs are so sensitive to our feelings and always know how to comfort us. When my hubby had pneumonia, both Poppy and Penny never left his side, they slept with him during the day and all night. As a result of that awful time, they formed a very strong bond with him.
Dogs are amazing, that’s why we love them so much.
That’s so true, Barb. How loving of Poppy and Penny to comfort your husband during his illness. Those times do form strong bonds – friends have told me that they noticed a much stronger attachment between Daisy and me after I nursed her through her surgery; it’s like she realizes what I did for her for so long during her recovery and never forgot. And she returns the love every single day. π
Oh, what a sweetie! Mine aren’t quite so empathetic. If I stay home from work sick they think I’m home just to wait on them as usual. π
Haha Our last dog wasn’t phased at all by illness or anything else. Daisy is a whole different pup! π
Awe that Daisy is sure a sweetie! Thanks so much for sharing on the hop.
She is the sweetest, cuddliest dog we’ve ever had!
OMG, Daisy is very dangerous, she makes her people more viable to illnesses! π π
Liable, not viable! Do you think it’s a Freudian slip? π
LOL!!
Let’s hope not! LOL But she does make us want to lie on the floor with her more! π
This is so great about our dogs, they really feel us. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for visiting, Cecelia! I love how intuitive dogs are and how they’re always there for us. π
Much sweeter than Choppy! She doesn’t want to have anything to do with me when I am sick!
LOL Our last dog was pretty much oblivious to whatever we were feeling. π
Glad to hear Choppy is not the only dog without the empathetic bone!
Far from it!
Oh bless, what a fab nurse she is
She truly is. We can’t help but smile no matter how crummy we may feel. π
She is the sweetest doggie – it’s nice that she’s so sympathetic!
She really does help ease whatever ails us. π
awww….that is so sweet.
Pets are adorable, don’t they
They sure are, Novroz. We never know what to expect from them! π
