Monday Mischief: Daisy the Bag Lady

Aren’t our pets great at keeping things interesting! There’s never a dull moment and there’s always something new going on. ๐Ÿ™‚

Daisy’s new pastime is being a bag lady. No, she doesn’t cart bags full of junk around with her; instead, she’s decided that whatever we bring home in a bag is fair game for her.

First she has to investigate…..

Ooo newcomers! Stand at attention in line so I can check you out.

You there! Do I smell meat??

This one definitely bears further investigation.

….then poke her head in and shove it around a bit (even if the bag is empty)….

Hey! Was there a roast chicken in this bag? Where'd it go? Maybe some juices spilled that I can lick up....

….and decide whether she approves of our purchases.

Ooo pink! Are these from the Victoria's Secret Invitation Party? Can I wear them too??

This game keeps her occupied until we empty the bags, except for the bag from the roast chicken that smelled sooo good. She pushed that one around for half an hour!

Walkin’ on Sunshine!

We’ve just been honored with the Shine On award! Thank you so much to Christie Stratos, whose writing blog has so much to offer. Plus she’s created a fascinating new genre – Symbolic Experimentalism. I love writing that makes me think and can have many different interpretations. Check it out if you haven’t already!

To accept this award, I need to:

  1. Show appreciation of the blogger who nominated you and link back to them in your post – Done and Dusted!
  2. Add the award logo to your blog – Mission Accomplished!
  3. Share 7 things about yourself – hard part #1.
  4. Nominate 5 โ€“ 10 or so bloggers you admire – hard part #2; I admire all my blog buddies!
  5. Contact your chosen bloggers to let them know – easy peasy.

Okay, here goes. Seven more things to share about me/us:

1. I’m a Scorpio. I do have some of the traits, but I’ve got the more severe ones under control. ๐Ÿ˜‰

2. I always have my holiday shopping done early; this year I haven’t even started yet. YIKES!!

3. I always wanted to be a redhead. I have natural red highlights, but that’s as far as it goes.

4. We always know when it’s 9:00 PM because Daisy falls asleep at that time every single night.

5. I tend to be more of a literal sort of person. But I’m workin’ on it…..

6. DD and I just got hooked on Ballykissangel. Yet another BBC addiction!

7. We close out my birthday every year by watchingย Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein (since my birthday is on Mischief Night). It’s a tradition we all look forward to. ๐Ÿ™‚

And now for nominations. As usual, we’d like to nominate all our blog friends! And as always, if you don’t do awards, just accept this as our way of introducing you to other bloggers. Here are a few newer blog buddies we’d like to introduce:

1. Oldsunbird

2. One Blue Dog

3. The Lonely Dogs

4. A Writer’s Journey

5. Spilled Cookies

6. A Window Into the Woods

Hope you enjoy meeting these new blog friends! ๐Ÿ™‚

Monday Mischief: Daisy Plans Mischief

Shhhh, don’t tell Daisy, but we think we’ve discovered her secret Mischief Planning Hideaway:

Hmmm, now let's see....if I grab the apple from the table while they're distracted....yeah, that just might work.

Hmmm, now let’s see….if I grab the apple from the table while they’re distracted….yeah, that just might work.

Ok, I'll have to position myself just right so I'll have that apple before they know I'm even in the room....

And then there’s the backup hideaway, in case we’re in the same room as Hideaway No. 1:

....so if I create a distraction here....then go for the apple there while they're cleaning up the distraction....

There’s nothing like good planning when it comes to perfecting mischief!

Monday Mischief: Dog Hair Gone Berserk

Did somebody spray Daisy with a hair growth formula? Because this little Havachon is sprouting curls faster than ever before!

She gets a double coat in colder weather, but I’m talking about length. I feel like I’m running a never-ending grooming salon here! Seriously, I could trim Daisy’s hair every week if I wanted it to stay short…and if I had the time…which I don’t!

3 month old Daisy – there was WAY more hair than dog!

I missed grooming Daisy for three weeks because of the two storms, their aftermath, and everything that goes along with all that mess. Suddenly I noticed our little puppy had gotten quite fuzzy. So I took up the clippers – much to Daisy’s dismay – and ended up with what looks to me like a Dog Hair Sundae!

Doesn’t this remind you of a soft-serve sundae? LOL!
