Well I had a post all ready for today’s Monday Mischief – the pictures were edited and the text was saved. Only one more picture needed to be added. I did a search for the title and…..nothing.
I searched through my photos, the recycle bin, unedited photos (just in case a sudden turkey-filled triptophan-induced haze was still muddling my brain), and my camera. Still nothing.
Even Daisy was searching everywhere for the missing pics.
Of course, just recently I’d gotten efficient and cleared my camera of photos I’d already edited and – supposedly – transferred to my computer. I guess I edited the photos but forgot to transfer them to my computer, so with one simple click – POOF – gone into oblivion. And I can’t reshoot them because it took me quite some time to get the most important photo. ::sigh::
We hope all our fellow US bloggers had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Oh Dear…I hate when that happens…well…in my case I usually lose the whole post.
I remember all the craziness you’ve gone through with WP losing your posts and refusing to add your pictures – that’s even worse!
Oh no! I have taken to just saving memory cards with pictures on them. It is extra backup for the poof. 🙂 The pictures you did save are very cute.
That’s a good idea! I’m definitely going to do that from now on. 🙂
Mischief in the electronics. We hate that.
Yep, there’s just no negotiating with the Electro-Gremlins!
Oh that’s bad…. most this will happen if you have taken the one and only super photo …your picture with the blanket is pawsome :o)
Thank you Easy! Yep, it always happens with the one great photo that can’t be duplicated. So frustrating!
What a pty but nevermind Daisy all your pix are adotable. Have a marvelous Monday.
Best wishes Molly
Aww thank you Molly! 😀
Uh oh Daisy, sounds like lottsa Mischief going on in your house buddy – you’re very good to help your Mum look for the missing pics!! 🙂
Hope you all had a lovely thanksgiving 🙂
Your pal Snoopy 🙂
We think Murphy (of Murphy’s Law) has moved in permanently!
So frustrating! I hate it when that happens. Luckily your model doesn’t work on an hourly rate and you will have plenty of chances to get more photos.
LOL Yes her modeling services are free of charge! 😉
Ugh…I hate losing pictures I worked hard on. I like the ones you posted though. What we don’t know we are missing won’t hurt us right? 🙂
Haha that’s a great perspective! 😀
Daisy is such a good helper searching for the photos! And I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving too 🙂
Thanks Meg, we did! Yes, Daisy is a wonderful little helper! LOL!
Daisy: P.I.!
Haha YES!! 😀
We’ve lost photos in the past. It can be very frustrating. I hope Daisy helps you find them 🙂
That’s the one thing I like better about the old 35mm print format – if you lose the printed photo, you always have the negative and can make a new print. Now I need to make a backup disk of the photos on hard drive, and a backup flash of the backup disk….ugh!
Ugh, that has happened to me and it was the worst.Lucky for you looks like with Daisy’s help you got some nice pictures in the end, even if it was her being “mischievous”!XD
LOL She’s always ready to provide us with new photo ops! 😉
I know I have begun to be very thankful that cell phones now have cameras built in (although if it works halfthe time is another story) as kirby is always doing something when I least expect it! 🙂 Is Daisy excited for upcoming snow?
I lost a full year of family pictures because I talked on the phone while I was working on them and didn’t pay attention. I deleted them all. Un-delete didn’t work so good, put there are some programs out there that can do that.
Ouch, that’s heartbreaking!
A great amount of cuteness got lost with the pics – but, fortunately, Daisy produces cuteness strenuously! 🙂
Aw thank you! We agree, we think cuteness is her hobby. 😉
Oh I am so sorry about all of your pics! I guess that digital camera was the one up to the mischief. That’s why sometimes I like the old camera’s better. At least you had it on film! 🙂
It’s a shame you lost the picture you wanted, but the ones you’ve shared are cute.
I am so sorry you lost your photos. That’s a shame! It doesn’t really surprise me that you were maybe a bit absent-minded about clearing your camera too soon. I think it’s rather likely you have a lot on your mind? Right! I hope you’re able to stop from time to time and just rest. You’ve been through a lot. I do hope Thanksgiving was lovely. We did have a lovely family time, also! I just love that photo of Daisy on her back underneath the clothes! That is full release! 🙂
I’m so glad you had a happy Thanksgiving! We did too. You’re right, I do have a ridiculous amount of things on my mind these days….can’t figure out why…. 😉 It’s weird how I can actually feel the difference in my mind function with all this stress; I don’t forget one detail of everything that’s going on regarding repairs, insurance, loss estimates, etc., but I can’t remember to go Christmas shopping! YIKES!
One of my most directed studies has been on understanding the effect of stress on the brain. I would say that you really need to be “kind” to yourself as much as possible. The stress of what you’ve been through, and are still going through, is definitely still sending adrenaline through your body and brain. Sometimes just acknowledging that makes a big difference! But it is fascinating that we can segment or compartmentalize our priorities, even in the middle of a crisis! Bless you! (I dreamed the other night that I missed Christmas by two days. I’d marked it wrong on my calendar and everyone was frustrated with me. I don’t know what my particular excuse for stress is! LOL!)
Oh Daisy, THAT’s annoying. Maybe they’ll turn up when you least expect it. I hope so. *wag wag wag*
Mischief is running all over the place. What will we do.
We usually sit back, laugh, and break out the camera! 😀
That’s awful that you lost your pictures:( Our mom has done that before and she wasn’t very happy about it!
I can certainly understand why! So frustrating!!
Oh…I know how terrible that feels. To have a missing photo (mistakenly deleted) made me sad, especially when the moment is impossible to repeat.
I hope that will never happen again.
PS. I love that pic when daisy is wrapped in blanket 🙂
Thanks Novroz! Yeah, it’s so frustrating when a one-time photo gets lost.
