Well, I’ll let you decide. According to Puppy Leaks, both the Bichon AND the Havanese are considered to be among the top ten couch potato dog breeds.
Daisy is a combination of BOTH Bichon and Havanese – she was practically bred for lounging!
Another website, Vet Street, calls the Bichon a “Lap Lounger Extraordinaire”, which is one of our favorite qualities of our favorite little girl. π
So…
what…
do…
you…
think?Β Does she get the Lounge Crown?
We’re part of the Thursday Barks and Bytes blog hop!
We looked into a Havanese for the newest addition! We even contacted a few breeders, but thought the grooming needs might be a bit much, especially after walks on the beach / in the woods π
Daisy is adorable! The closest we’ve got to a ‘lazy’ dog is Zoey, who will sleep all night and until early afternoon, but once she is done sleeping she bounces off the walls until she has been walked, played with and had some training. Then it’s back to sleeping for the next few hours!
You’re right about the grooming. We keep Daisy’s hair cut short because at full length, it’s impossible to keep neatly brushed and check for ticks in the summer, but I have to continually trim her because her hair grows SO fast. But even her short hair is a double coat, so after a trip to the beach, she needs at least two washings. What the website said fits Daisy perfectly: short bursts of energetic play, followed by hours of lounging. It’s interesting how different each breed’s lifestyle is!
absolutely, 4 paws from France! You are the Queen of all sofas and pillows :o)
Thank you Easy! I knew I’d be top dog at something! π
maybe she is part cat?
DakotasDen
Haha could be!! π
LOL but I am pretty sure Daisy is not always lounging around. I know she likes to run when she feels the urge. Thanks so much for joining the hop!
Yes, you’re right about that! But she does fit the “textbook” definition in that she has bursts of energy followed by ten times as much lounging! And when we take her on a new adventure somewhere, she’s all excited to explore but after a while she’ll just sit and refuse to walk any further. Textbook! π
She just looks like a snuggle bug to me. Her and Roxy could lounge together.
Daisy looks like an awesome cuddler. π
It’s her #1 skill! π And we love it!
Haha someone is really doing their best to live up to their heritage. Tough job.
LOL That she is! You might even say she’s a perfect Ridgeback Opposite! π
I’ll bet she is ready to pounce on any intruder and strike fear.
Or at least give them a good barking at! π
Hi there!
She is SO cute! π

Thank you and thanks for stopping by! π
Yes, she looks like quite the professional couch potato! π
She sure is! If only she could get paid per snore… π
Daisy gets the crown for top dog at lounging and cuddling…..and it looks like she lounges in style!
“Pillow style” is Daisy’s style – she picks the absolute softest spot she can find and invokes her Havachon lounging rights! π
She sure gets the gold! Such a cutie!!!!
I’ll have to add a “Lounging” event to my Doggy Olympics schedule! π
LOL I bet Sampson could give her a run for the money. I call him a camouflage dog. He is a couch potato most of the time, but the minute you want to walk, he is up and ready to go.
Thanks for joining the blog hop!
They must be distant relatives! π
We would not only vote for sweet Daisy to get a lounge crown but also a crown for being so adorable. She looks so comfy I would join her in a second I could use some couch lounging. Hugs and nose kisses
Thank you, Maggie! π Yes, Daisy takes her lounging very seriously – she’s practically elevated it to an art form! And I know she’d love cuddling with you, you could be her Auntie Mags! π
I would love that.
