Monday Mischief: What’s That You’ve Got, Miss Daisy?

on June 10, 2012

Why are things that are off-limits so much more appealing to dogs than dog toys?

A twisted-up foil-lined bag became an irresistible plaything for Daisy last week, and she guarded it as if it were made of gold. Any time we’d try to take it, she’d grab it and run away, jumping on and off sofas and chairs like an acrobat.

Uh ohhhhh…..caught in the act.

I’ll just act like this is a normal toy for me….but I’m keeping my eyes on you….

What? These pictures don’t prove anything!

It’s the same with children – give them a tin lid and a wooden spoon and they will play for hours, or a cardboard box to shuffle about in! Daisy is no different – she found the “new toy”, and she’s not letting anyone else have it – she’s having too much fun with it!

    Hi,
Beautiful photos, and I think most dogs are the same, but I love the way she is protecting the bag, more so because she obviously knows she is not suppose to have it. 😀

Yup, that’s our little Daisy. I never saw her protect and race around so much with anything else the way she did with this bag – I can’t imagine what made it so special!

Tearing tissues to tiny bits is my dogs’ favoring pastime.

We think those pictures prove a lot sweet Daisy and that would be that you are adorable no matter what you play with. Hugs and nose kisses

    Why, the challenge, of course!

  13. Hey Daisy, Jet here.
Well, looks like you got your paws caught in the proverbial “cookie jar” huh? I’m with you, stick to the “it’s a toy” story… and make puppy dog face!

    Hi Daisy,

It looks like you’re having quite the fun time with your new toy. I think my boys would like to play with a paper foil dog toy!

    Happy Monday!
    Colby

    Hahaha….bad Daisy 😉
But what most important thing is…you are happy. You can choose another thing to play once you got bored with it….maybe your mother’s shoes 😉

We did have similar Monday mischief posts!! Pups love crinkly stuff!

  17. I remember that the terrier we had when the children were young would get into their toys and wreak havoc. She didn’t mind plastic at all…and then she’d go hide in a laundry basket considering there might be a scolding! They are just too smart…but they are also impulsive, I guess! 🙂 I wonder if the bag had a particular scent that made Daisy love it…and maybe she’s a little girlie and likes the glitter of the foil. I think my granddaughters would like that part! What a cutie! Debra

  20. Well if you love it that much, it must be yours……right?

  21. Ya Daisy! Those pictures don’t prove anything! An acrobat you are Daisy? That’s just too cute! 😀
