The Good, Crazy, & Adorable Life of One Havachon Puppy

Monday Mischief: Headless Daisy (Don’t Panic!) ;)

on April 30, 2012

Back from our week-long absence – we sure did miss our blogging buddies!

For the sake of keeping in theme with Mischief Monday, we could say that Daisy is either doing her impression of the Headless Horseman or playing a late April Fool joke on us by making her head “disappear”.  But in fact, this is just silly little Daisy being silly little Daisy. 🙂

DH took a cell phone picture of our silly little girl in her favorite “headless” pose – stretched the length of his lap, arms stiff in her “hands-up-or-I’ll-shoot” pose, and her head dangling past his knees, out of sight (and he’s TALL!).

Mind you, she’s so comfortable like this, that she’s actually ASLEEP!

Daisy, you can actually sleep like that? You’re funny – and you’re a great Mischief Maker buddy,

Great pose! I love it! Apache does that sometimes too, but I haven’t caught him in the act yet. Apache’s hind legs go straight out too and he’s probably close to 7 feet long!

  7. If I were caught sleeping like that, I would be mortified with shame and I would want to hide my head under the pillows forever. But the wonderful thing about our pups is that nothing seems to embarass them! Daisy obviously cares more about getting her beauty rest than how she looks while sleeping (lol).

I always say that humans can take a LOT of lessons from animals, including doing what’s best and not worrying what others think of it. By the same token, our pups don’t judge each other, they’re far more accepting and not at all shallow. Now that’s what I’d like to see more of in human behavior!

    Love that pose!

  9. In our household that’s what we call “full release.” Pure unadulterated comfort…oh to sleep like that 🙂 Such a precous pup! Debra

  10. Hilarious how they sleep that way.

That is such a cute position! Nala also loves her paws-up-belly-up position, although I’ve never gotten her in such a headless angle, LOL! Love the pic!!

That is an incredibly scratchable tummy. 🙂

So silly! Loved dogs are so cute when they sleep. When Maya sleeps on her back her lips fall back and you can see all her teeth. And sometimes Pierson falls asleep with a toy in his mouth.

Aw that’s adorable! Yes you’re right – when dogs feel safe and loved, they’re totally relaxed and sleep in the silliest positions. 🙂 My friend adopted an abused rescue terrier, and that dog always slept tightly curled up in corners. It was like she was always on the defensive and trying to protect her vulnerable areas while making herself as inconspicuous as possible. She never exposed her little tummy when sleeping. Such a difference!

  14. BOL!!! Hilarious photo Daisy Mommy! Ahh…That’s the Daisy we all loooove :}!
