The weather has been so beautiful lately – cool, sunny, 50s-60 degree temps – that DD and I decided to take a drive around some neighboring towns. Our favorite one has an interesting combination of wooded areas, farms, and huge mansions; we like driving aimlessly and discovering new sights by taking small roads we’ve never noticed before. 🙂
Well, this weekend we discovered a goat farm! Take a look at these cuties:
It felt SO good to be out in the wide open; somehow the air always feels fresher and possibilities seem as endless as the views. Areas like this – and in the woods – always bring a smile to my heart.
Although I’m much more of a cottage person than a mansion person (my dream is to live in a charming little cottage by a stream with a wildflower garden), I do enjoy ogling the multi-million dollar estates. Even more, I love looking at the gorgeous flowers their gardeners so lovingly care for.
Daisy stayed home with DH this time, but next time we’ll take her along so she can enjoy the scenery and new scents. 🙂
Love that tongue!! 🙂 And wish it was so summery over here 🙂
LOL That’s Daisy’s super-happy face! 😉
Sounds like a great outing. The goats sure are cute. 🙂 Poor Daisy, looks disappointed to have been left behind.
I’m sure she and the goats would have gotten on famously! 😉
Daisy is asking why you didn’t take her!
I think she is…..oh, the guilt!! 😉
Love the goats! What a great outing and such nice weather! It’s freezing here again!
I’m wondering if we’ll ever see true winter weather here again! You weather sounds more normal than this crazy early spring we’re having – it’s supposed to hit 80 degrees again this weekend! I’m really dreading the triple-digit possibilities of this summer….
That’s my favorite kind of day…wandering aimlessly with a camera! And I, too, love the wide open spaces whenever I can find it. I’m glad to see you started our weekend early! Debra
I used to do a LOT of nature photography when I hiked every weekend; I’d really love to get back into that. Talk about food for the soul! 🙂
Oh, I’m sure Daisy would LOVE living in one of those lovely estates! Think of the amount of space she would have to potter and roam about in. But, then again, it would be quite easy to lose sight of her… I do recall you once lost her in your laundry room? 😉
LOL you have a good memory! I also lost her in the living room, when she blended in with a white chair that she never before sat on! How about if she gets the mansion and I get a nice little cottage on the property? 😉
What a great little trip – Daisy sure looks ready to go!! I’m thinking you won’t get away with leaving her behind next time 🙂 Tee Hee
Have a fun weekend,
Your pal Snoopy 🙂
You’re right Snoopy, there’s no way Daisy will stay behind again! This was a last-minute decision we made to take a drive after we ran some errands – it was just too nice out to go straight home! 🙂
Daisy it looks like you had a good time! We like that your are ready for adventure. Great photos too!
Bella and DiDi
Sorry Daisy. We made a mistake and thought you went on the journey. You will have a great adventure next time. Great photo of you though!
Thanks Bella and DiDi! This was more of an impromptu drive that my mom and sister took while they were out, but next time they said I’m definitely going along! 😀 I’m always ready for a new adventure!!
Looks like you had a fabulous day! Love the photos:)
Thanks Judy!
It’s so great to see that spring is here!!!!:) The sun makes the flowers and animals look beautiful!:)
And the sky is a deeper shade of blue too! 🙂
Daisy looks so happy 🙂
She was – she LOVES car rides!
I wish Kroten and Papoe love car rides too…but turtle gets stress when taking long journey 😦
That’s so true. I think they appreciate staying snuggly in their homes! 🙂
I think Daisy would really like to visit. I know my Maya would. I’m not sure what my dog Pierson would do, though. He is an Aussie mix so maybe he will try to herd the goats.
LOL I could just picture Pierson trying to herd the goats from outside the fence! That would be so cute! 🙂
