Shoe Toppling – A New Daisy Olympic Sport

on May 24, 2011

Daisy Motto No. 2 – Leave No Shoe Untoppled.

Welcome to the 2011 Olympic Doggie Games Shoe Topple Event!

I’ve said before that Daisy is an all-girl shoe-lover. There isn’t a shoe, boot, or slipper in this house that hasn’t been nosed, licked, shoved, sniffed, and/or stolen.

But Daisy’s all-time favorite sport is Shoe Toppling. If it was an Olympic event, she’d get the Gold.

The pictures in this post are only a small representation of what I’m describing below.

DD wears heels to work, and she LOVES shoes. Sometimes she gets a little lazy and doesn’t put her shoes away in the closet during the work week; that’s when she ends up with a line of shoes in her room, looking like a miniature shoe store display.

This is heaven for Daisy. I can just imagine what she’s thinking when she walks into DD’s bedroom: “Let the Shoe Toppling begin!”

The reigning Shoe Toppling champion demonstrates her top strategies - she's going for the Gold again, folks!

Like a kid in a candy shop (or a dog in a shoe shop!) she gets all excited and races right over to that line of shoes. Happy ears, happy tail, the works. She then chooses random shoes and pokes her nose at them, one after the other, until every shoe is toppled. Daisy will NOT leave the room until the she’s taken the Gold Medal in the Shoe Toppling event. πŸ˜‰

Any challengers? πŸ™‚

Look at that strategy! She's separating her opponents and moving in for the kill shot!

And the reigning champ takes the Gold Medal again! Shoes topped in record time!

Sounds like a winner to me! Go Daisy!

  2. That’s too cute! I think you’re right, Daisy looks like she has an obsession for shoes. Welcome to the club, Daisy (LOL)… I love my shoes, too πŸ˜€ Strange, though, that Maple steers clear of our shoes at home. I wonder what that could possibly mean… time to whip out the deodorizer? 😐

hehehe…you DO know she is looking to see if DD stepped in anything interesting?

LOL Probably! She does it with new shoes too – she seems to find upright heels challenging! She can’t topple slippers, so she moves them around and then watches us to see if we can figure out what happened and where they are – what a nut!

  4. Destructo-Pup strikes again! I think it’s hilarious that she makes a beeline for the shoes – only to topple them over.

Gus likes to get up on the bed and that nose off all the pillows. Sometimes, they just like to destroy. πŸ™‚

Daisy, Daisy lol. She is definitely a Bichon — they are always trying to cause mischief! Silly girlie.

  6. Haha,

What a clever game. Maybe she could teach Tiffy how to play:)

Well of course she loves shoes – she’s a girlie girl!

  9. I’d like to see Daisy in a department store during a huge shoe sale. πŸ˜€

We had one incident with shoes was before Oscar was neutered. Let’s just say he marked my beloved sandals as his own. @_@

It’s a good thing you posted that message on my About page, Pauline – crazy WordPress DID misdirect your comments to my Spam folder! How crazy!

Oh, your poor sandals! But what a funny story! πŸ˜€

Oh yeah, Daisy in a shoe department – the video would go right on You Tube – it would probably go viral! LOL
